Goodwin investigates workplace issues related to expected power, managerial social cognition (i.e., construal), ethics, and gender. Her research also explores attitudes towards perpetrators and victims, whistleblowing, and unethical behaviors (e.g., sexual harassment) that create obstacles for women at work. To explore these questions, she uses archival data analysis, large-scale field experiments, experience sampling methodology, qualitative interviews, and online and laboratory experiments.
